Andrew has been working in the film industry for over sixteen years with experience in London, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Originating from Scotland his first film Duality was shot in Oakland, California starring Chris Conner (Altered Carbon, American Crime Story) and received attention in several festivals including nominations and awards.
Following his return to London Andrew took part in the 48hour film challenge with his short film Positivity in 2015. From this his focus drew him toward a story set in his home country of Scotland. His next short film, Jim “The Fish” starring Clive Russell (Game of Thrones), was accepted into Leeds International film festival and Aesthetica Short Film Festival.
His forth short film Stare starring Adelayo Adedayo (The Responder, Supacell) was release in 2021 about a woman who suffers shock after assisting in giving CPR. The film is driven more by the experience rather than traditional story structure and from it gives a more visceral feel.
Andrew’s latest developments are a feature film script: Seven of Many, about a Lancaster Bomber crew during WWII and another feature script about a sex phone worker who witnesses a horrific crime. All of which are under the Altapage Productions banner.
In par with Andrew’s film career he has worked in the Visual Effects industry as a Visualization Supervisor for films such as 1917, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Fantastic Beasts, Alien: Covenant, The Dark Knight, John Carter and more recently Napoleon which was nominated for an Oscar and a BAFTA for Visual Effects.
